History
To become an Active Member of our motorcycle club, an individual must have either served in or directly supported a Personnel Recovery/Rescue function. Eligibility questions will be reviewed and determined by the Board.
-
Gender: Open to both men and women.
-
Nomination: Candidates must be sponsored by an existing Active Member. The nominator guarantees that the candidate aligns with the values of the Personnel Recovery Community and the ethos of our club.
-
Board Review: After the sponsor nominates a candidate, the Board will review the submission and make a decision through a simple majority vote. If a candidate is not accepted, the sponsor will inform them, but the candidate is not entitled to any details regarding the voting process or results.
-
No Class System: Our club operates without a hierarchical class system. All Members are equal once accepted.
-
Sponsor Responsibility: The sponsor is responsible for the new Member during their first six months, ensuring they become familiar with the Club’s Charter, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), values, and communication channels.
-
Membership Status: Once approved by the Board, a new Active Member becomes a full Member and Patchholder, with all associated privileges and responsibilities.
-
Continuous Membership: Active Members retain membership as long as they pay their dues and uphold the club's values. While owning and operating a motorcycle is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement after membership is granted.
