History

To become an Active Member of our motorcycle club, an individual must have either served in or directly supported a Personnel Recovery/Rescue function. Eligibility questions will be reviewed and determined by the Board.

  1. Gender: Open to both men and women.

  2. Nomination: Candidates must be sponsored by an existing Active Member. The nominator guarantees that the candidate aligns with the values of the Personnel Recovery Community and the ethos of our club.

  3. Board Review: After the sponsor nominates a candidate, the Board will review the submission and make a decision through a simple majority vote. If a candidate is not accepted, the sponsor will inform them, but the candidate is not entitled to any details regarding the voting process or results.

  4. No Class System: Our club operates without a hierarchical class system. All Members are equal once accepted.

  5. Sponsor Responsibility: The sponsor is responsible for the new Member during their first six months, ensuring they become familiar with the Club’s Charter, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), values, and communication channels.

  6. Membership Status: Once approved by the Board, a new Active Member becomes a full Member and Patchholder, with all associated privileges and responsibilities.

  7. Continuous Membership: Active Members retain membership as long as they pay their dues and uphold the club's values. While owning and operating a motorcycle is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement after membership is granted.
